If you’re looking to enjoy a drink in the warm weather this weekend, Charlotte offers several options for you.

• Boardwalk Billy’s Raw Bar & Ribs, located on the water at Shoppes at University Place, offers a robust patio area, which overlooks a large pond and offers a pleasant view. Specializing in baby back ribs and an oyster bar, patrons also can count on a generous drink selection and wide variety of live music.
• Ed’s Tavern touts a staff that is, “The Queen City’s friendliest bar staff,” which diligently covers the noted outdoor deck and indoor station. The outside deck supports about 30 mingling bar-goers. Established in 2005 in the Dilworth area as the Iowa Hawkeyes fans’ official local hangout, Ed’s has plenty of action, with Wednesday’s Name That Tune, Thursday’s Team Trivia and live music Friday and Saturday.
