After announcing dates for his three-week “Kill The Lights” tour, The-Dream shared his new track with fans, also titled “Kill The Lights.” The slow burning six-minute Prince-esque jam features Casha, The-Dream’s Radio Killa artist.

“We came up with the name of the tour, and then immediately after that, I said, ‘I’m gonna write a song called “Kill The Lights” so it goes with the tour,’” he tells Billboard. “That turned into three other songs, and now I have a ‘Kill the Lights’ CD that may come out. So it was like, ‘Oh my God!’ I just keep putting myself in these predicaments.”
The-Dream recently produced Rihanna’s collaboration with Chris Brown, “Birthday Cake” and told Billboard.com that it’s time to forgive Brown.
“For me, it’s just music — two talented people doing a record together, doing two records together, and that’s what it was,” The-Dream said. “It wasn’t about an incident that happened. The true thing really is to forgive, and… you want to believe in people.”
