Tomorrow, February 29th, top-selling singer and Queen City-native, Anthony Hamilton will kick off a week full of community service activities to benefit his hometown of Charlotte, NC.  Hamilton has partnered with the Men’s Shelter of Charlotte, the Salvation Army Center of Hope and the Second Harvest Food Bank on the community outreach initiatives which will include food and fund drives and a luncheon for the residents of the Men’s Shelter of Charlotte.

Born and raised in Charlotte, Hamilton currently resides there with his wife Tarsha, who is also a singer. Because of the strong bond that he has with the city, as well as it being the place where he is raising his family (as a father of five with number six on the way later this year), Anthony is always looking for ways to give back and to help enrich the area. He says, “Although, Charlotte is a beautiful place to live with so much to offer to its residents and the rest of the world, there are still many people here that can use more support, especially the young people. And I have the means and the voice to help, so that’s what I’m going to do.”
