Tank‘s new album, This Is How I Feel, landed at No. 9 on the sales charts, clearing the way for a TGT reunion with Tyrese and Genuine.

This Is How I Feel sold over 32,000 units in its first week, making it the No. 1 R&B album in the country and the No. 9 selling album overall. His sales report comes after Tyrese broke the news of the TGT reunion on Sunday (May 14).

Tyrese, Genuine and Tank first announced that they would be joining forces to form TGT in 2007. They built anticipation with a remix of Tank’s “Please Don’t Go” and the promise of a “Shirts Off” tour in 2008. But due to label disputes and contract obstacles, the group disbanded before it got off the ground.

Now that each of the members have released their own solo albums, they are putting the team back together. Genuine also confirmed the connection, with a tweet that said he was on his way to record with the group.

For his part, Tank has been busy promoting his newly released record. After hearing the news of his album’s chart position, he sent out a message of his own to his twitter followers.
