Miguel Cotto v Floyd Mayweather Jr.

Lil Wayne had Twitter beef for breakfast. The Young Money chief took to Twitter early Thursday (May 24) morning with a strongly worded message to Kanye West-affiliated rapper Pusha T and every one of his fans.

Wayne launched his Twitter beef after Pusha T released his new song “Exodus 23:1,” which included lyrics that apparently was interpreted as shots at YMCMB artist Drake.

Pusha T, who is signed to Kanye West’s G.O.O.D. Music, dropped a few lines that seem to address Drake’s position as a signee to Wayne’s record company via Baby’s Cash Money records.

“Contract all f***ed up/ I guess that means you all f***ed up/ You signed to one n**** that’s singed to another n****/ that’s singed to three n****s, now that’s bad luck”

This is not the first sign of tension between the camps. Pusha, as one half of the Virginia-based Clipse, addressed accusations of style-stealing on their 2008 mixtape Re-Up Gang: We Got It For Cheap vol 3.

“Sorry I don’t respect who you applauding,” he rapped, “Little n**** flow but his metaphor’s boring/ Don’t make me turn daddy’s little girl to orphan/ That would mean I’d have to kill Baby like abortion…”

In both cases, Pusha T’s lyrics stop short of explicitly mentioning names, but Wayne’s response left no wiggle room. For that reason, it’s doubtful that the beef ends with Lil Wayne’s Twitter response.

In the meantime, you can listen to “Exodus 23:1″ below. -E. Parker, CBS Local
