Brody & Choch, known for their raucous live sets, this DC-born duo brings an old school flare to the Charlotte hip hop community – complete with flat-top hair cuts, parachute pants and fanny packs. Brody & Choch have released two mixtapes – ‘The Boys Will Be Boys’ and ‘None Since 96 Mixtape,’ toured with Brooklyn rockers, Shinobi Ninja and performed at SXSW and the CMJ Music Marathon.

Watch below a film documentary from the Charlotte Video Project, an effort to create 100 short films about Charlotte before the city hosts the Democratic National Convention in September.

This documentary gives you a behind-the-scenes look of an up-and-coming group that performs around Charlotte, works on lyrics in their basement, and has plenty of time to make some jokes with each other.
