50 Cent and Robert De Niro team up in the upcoming crime drama Freelancers. The two celebrities were last seen together on the big screen in 2008′s Righteous Kill.

In Freelancers 50 Cent plays the son of a slain NYPD officer who joins the police force and is taken under the wing of his father’s former partner, Sarcone, played by Academy Award winning actor Robert De Niro. The film features an all-star cast including Academy Award winner, Forest Whitaker, and two-time Emmy Award winner Dana Delany.

Freelancers will hit theaters in limited release on August 10, 2012 and will be available on Blu-ray, DVD, Digital Download, and Demand on August 21, 2012.
