Wiz Khalifa dropped his O.N.I.F.C. album Tuesday (December 4) and it is projected to hit No. 1.
Based on first-day sales, O.N.I.F.C. will land at around 135k to 145k, according to HitsDailyDouble, a site that tracks sales numbers. He faces off against Rod Stewart and sales powerhouse Taylor Swift.
O.N.I.F.C.(or Only N**** In First Class) is the follow-up to Khalifa’s Rolling Papers, which came out in 2011 and scored two GRAMMY nominations.
Last week, Khalifa gave fans a taste of “Rise Above,” a mellow track with understated bongos, soothing layered vocals and the unmistakable groovy Wiz vibe. It included a rapping Pharrell, a verse from Taylor Gang affiliate Tuki Carter and a few words from his Amber Rose.
“We were just so high in the studio,” he revealed in a video posted to WizKhalifa.com. “He doesn’t smoke, but he got really stoned off contact. He just jumped in the booth and did his verse. He just did it naturally, we were on teh same level.”
