Future Flavas: Slim City Releases “Dirty Dirty” Mixtape

Wesley “Slim City” Gray has been involved in music and art since a kid. Born in San Antonio,Texas … Slim moved to Charlotte, NC at a very early age attending elementary, middle, and high school in the Queen City. Slim graduated and moved back to Texas where he developed his craft as a producer and was deeply influenced by the culture of local Texans. After trying to complete his college education with several campuses and working numerous jobs, He let it all go to pursue his dream as a musician. After a few years of striving to earn stripes in Texas as he sold original beats, recorded, and engineered music from his apartment. Slim thought he caught his big break when Johnny J (Tupac’s producer) requested that Slim City sends his project to California. But it was discovered that the legendary producer passed away months after Slim shipped his material. So determined to reach his goal, he finally moved back to Charlotte where he immediately jumped into the studio and released an album(Play-Ya-Music) and mixtape(YoLo). Slim has opened up many shows and performed at many venues. He also makes sure his childhood friends get some shine too, as they are featured on many tracks with Slim City. Next up, the “DIRTY DIRTY” hosted by the talented Yasmin Young. “Slim Aka City” has been embraced throughout his career by the right people, regardless his experiences and situations.
