Black History Quick Facts: Halle Berry Wins The Oscar

Let us look back at a moment in black history at the Oscars.  In 2002, [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Halle Berry[/lastfm] became the first african american woman to win for best actress.  Halle took the trophy for her role in the movie Monsters Ball and the barber shops favorite line “make me feel good”.

Here is Halle accepting her award in 2002.

Halle not only won an Oscar she also won a Razzie for her role in the movie Catwoman.  Halle was a good sport as she accepted her award given to the worst movie actress of the year.
