The Top 10 Scariest Hip-Hop Music Videos
Just in time for Halloween we’ve compiled a list of the most scary, frightening, and disturbing music videos in the hip-hop and R&B world! Get ready to be scared!
10. “Wall To Wall” – Chris Brown
In homage to MJ’s Thriller, Chris Brown is turned into a vampire by a beautiful vampire woman. That’s probably the scariest part of the music video because the vampire woman comes out of nowhere!
9. “Nightmares” – Dana Dane
Having the word “nightmare” in the title must mean horror is on the way! Too bad the back-up dancers give me nightmares because of the bad lighting combined with their general creepiness.
8. “Disturbia” – Rihanna
Rihanna chained, stuck in a fiery blazed room, and wearing zombie white eyes tell just how creepy this music video is. Plus, the video showcases a ton of creepy extras along the way with some quick-cut spiders!
7. “Satanic Verses” – Flatlinerz
Set in dark woods and surrounded by dead bodies, Flatlinerz really show us just how frightening Hip-Hop Music Videos can get!
6. “Somebody’s Watching Me” – Rockwell
A classic video featuring the paranoia of Rockwell himself (he’s scared of everything he sees in the video!) Michael Jackson actually sings the chorus of the song!
5. “3AM” – Eminem
Em takes you into the mind of a psycho, drug-addicted serial killer in this blood-curdling, 2009 head-spinner. He raps about waking up “naked at McDonald’s with blood all over me, dead bodies behind the counter.” He doesn’t remember a thing, but knows he’s the killer!
4. “Murder Was The Case” – Snoop Dogg
No need for ghosts and goblins here to make this video frightening, the mere thought of dying is terrifying enough for Snoop. Hear him testify: “I’m shaking and they breaking, tryin’ to save the Dogg, pumping on my chest and I’m screamin’. I stop breathing, damn I see demons. Dear God, I wonder can you save me? I can’t die, my Boo-Boo’s bout to have my baby.”
3. “Monster” – Kanye West ft. Rick Ross, Jay-Z, and Nicki Minaj
“Monster” has so many disturbing images, especially of dead bodies, decapitated zombies, and girls being hung throughout the video. We’re not surprised the music video isn’t featured on many websites.
2. “Diary of a Mad Man” – Gravediggaz
The “Diary of a Mad Man” would be pretty interesting to read, but Gravediggas take it to a whole new level. The video starts in a court room and tells of men who plead insanity in a murder trial.
1. “Thriller” – Michael Jackson
This legendary music video is probably one of the scariest of all time! Dancing Zombies from graves have given chills to kids over the past 30 years, especially when they attack MJ and his girlfriend in the house. But when Michael turns into a werewolf, that’s when it’s time to turn the channel!
